A Pack That Opened A Shop
Rundavo isn’t a pet shop. It’s a gang of dogs, cats and humans that ended up opening one.
It started with dogs coming home muddy to the ears, cats passing judgement from the windowsill, and humans who’d had enough of harnesses that chafe and beds that end up in the skip. So we got into the habit of ordering for ourselves first. A piece goes out with a dog that pulls, takes a downpour, goes through the wash and spends a week underneath a cat that never asked for it. What gives way stays on the doormat. What holds stays with us, and we tell you why: the buckle that opens with gloves on, the hammock adopted in ten seconds, the lead that no longer saws into your hand.
That’s where the tone of the product pages comes from: once you’ve actually lived with an object, there are precise things to say, and copy-and-paste stops being an option.
The rest is simple: parcels out within 24–72 h, 14 days to change your mind, and a human who replies in four languages. If it gives way, we say so.
What We Do Before We Sell
Round here, “selected and tested” isn’t a stamp, it’s a routine. It comes in four steps.
- When we like the look of a piece, we order it for ourselves first.
- It goes out with us: a walk with a dog that pulls, a downpour, a wash at 30 °C, a week under the cat.
- Then we look at the seams, the buckles, the smell, and whether the animal goes back to it of their own accord.
- What disappoints goes back. What holds joins the pack, and the product page tells you what we saw, not what the label promises.
No laboratory, no percentages: outings, paws and honest opinions. A cat tree or a cave doesn’t go out for a walk; for those, the routine happens in the living room and on the windowsill.
Two Workshops We Call Friends
We don’t make everything ourselves, and we don’t pretend to. Alongside our own range, born on the trails — harnesses, leads, collapsible bowls, reflective kit — there are two workshops we ended up calling friends.
- Matteo weaves everyday collars and leads in Europe, from the first walk of the morning to the last one at night.
- Labbvenn hand-sews Scandinavian beds and mats good-looking enough for the living room.

Why We Write “The First”
Rundavo, the first creative pet shop in Europe — not because we counted, but because we don’t know another one where the pack wears, chews and keeps every piece before writing the product page.
