Brands — they make it, we wear it out

Our own Rundavo range, plus Matteo, who weaves collars and leads in Europe, and Labbvenn, who makes Scandinavian beds by hand. Kept because the trail and the sofa both said yes.

Three names on our labels, and behind each one, people who make things. We do the rest: we wear it, we wash it, we watch what holds, and the product page tells you what we saw.

Rundavo, the range that started on the trail

Rundavo is our own label: harnesses, leads, collapsible bowls and reflective bits, made for running, hiking and the walks you go on anyway when it’s raining. Every piece has to be sturdy, light and easy to look after, with adjustment precise enough to stay put while the dog gets on with it.

Before a piece gets in here, it spends time at ours. It goes out with a dog that pulls, takes a downpour, goes through the wash at 30 °C, and afterwards we look at the seams, the buckles, and whether the animal goes back to it of its own accord. What disappoints is sent back; what holds joins the pack, and your feedback goes into the next version.

Matteo, collars and leads woven in Europe

Matteo makes woven-webbing collars and leads in Europe, for the first walk of the morning and the last one at night. A collar, a lead, and the pair to match: that’s the lot, and it’s all we ask of them.

The collar and the lead come separately; together in the set, they cost €6 less than buying them one at a time.

Labbvenn, handmade Scandinavian beds

Labbvenn makes Scandinavian beds by hand: a basket with raised sides to rest a head on, and a mat that rolls up to follow the dog to a friend’s house or a restaurant. Pieces that earn a place in the living room, not just the hallway.

At ours, the basket was claimed before the unpacking was finished; the box went to the cat.
