A litter scoop that stands in its closed holder after use instead of lying on the floor by the tray.

After each pass the scoop slides into its closed holder: the floor stays clean, the handle stays within reach, and the daily job gets done without hunting for the tool. Scoop out the clumps at least once a day: it is the single habit that most keeps a cat using its tray without hesitation, more than the choice of litter. Shake the scoop over the tray so clean grains fall back, then scrape the floor, where urine settles. Rinse the scoop and holder in hot water weekly. Change the litter completely and wash the tray once or twice a month.
